Dilley ISD Staff and Families,
Welcome Back and Happy 2022! We pray that your time during the holidays were joyful, peaceful and spent with family and friends. Dilley ISD continues to closely monitor local health conditions and the current rise in Covid 19 cases, especially the Omicron variant cases. In the month of December there were more than 157 new cases of Covid 19 in Frio County.
Monday, January 3rd is a professional development day for staff only!
Dilley ISD returns for live instruction, on Tuesday, Jan. 4th. I want to HIGHLY ENCOURAGE all students and staff to schedule a free Covid-19 test on Monday or Tuesday with our nursing staff at the elementary school. Additionally we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that all students, staff, and visitors wear a face-mask while indoors at all District facilities.
We will continue to encourage hand washing, as well as continue our practice of using hand sanitizer and disinfecting all buildings and buses nightly.
Please be reminded that if you or your child is symptomatic or ill, stay home and/or consult with your medical provider. Individuals who have confirmed cases of COVID-19 will be asked to isolate for a minimum of 5 days or until symptom-free in accordance with the newly updated CDC guidelines.
Finally, we want to encourage everyone to consider getting the COVID-19 vaccine for you and all eligible individuals in your home, ages 5 and up.
We want and need all students and staff at school every day because we know that the best learning environment for most children is in person instruction. As we focus on accelerated instruction in order to close any learning gaps, working together we can safely achieve this goal. Thank you for your continued support and once again HAPPY NEW YEAR!
