***Promises Kept and Looking All White*** Thank you DHS Administration on bringing even more life to DHS Hallways and the ISS/DAEP room by providing the walls with a fresh coat of paint. ***************** The Reading Process *********************** Mrs. Brenda Maldonado teaches 6th & 7th grade Reading classes during our Academic Summer School sponsored by MHMS ACE Program. Mrs. Maldonado emphasizes reading as a process. Reading concepts and strategies are taught through the reading class and students write in response to their reading. The goal is to enable students to become independent readers. Not pictured, Terry Pichardo is the 6th & 7th grade Reading support. We Back the Pack!!!

******** Promoting Reading Literacy ******** MHMS sparks interest in reading among their students by making them feel included. Students select their preferred reading genre. Mr. Scottie Reyes is featured at the MHMS school library reading to his students during the Reading Academic Summer School sponsored by MHMS ACE Program. Ms. Abby Hernandez, our MHMS librarian, has operated our school library during the ACE program. Ms. Hernandez has been encouraging our MHMS students to continue reading! We Back the Pack!!!

***Block Party at MHMS*** It was so hard to hold the excitement of Coach Rocha's Robotics class at the MHMS Summer Academy hosted by the Dilley ISD ACE Program! Students just had LEGO their ideas as they created a variety of structures to perform certain functions! Way to go MHMS!!! We Back the Pack!!!

***SUMMER SPIRIT *** Ms America's class helps prepare for the fall sports as by making signs for our athletes that soon begin official practices for the 24-25 school year! We Back the Pack!!!

***ARANDA MAKES AAA SUPER ELITE TRACK TEAM *** Congratulations to Dorian Aranda as he was nominated and the recipient of bring on the Texas High School Coaches Association's AAA Super Elite Team!!! ***NACHO Average Summer Class*** Mrs Elizondo has been cooking things up within her culinary arts class. Students prepare dishes to help master common kitchen techniques and also provides a great meal to dig in as a reward. Bon A petit We Back the Pack!!!

***DES is ACE-ing it!!!*** Dilley Elementary has offered many academic and enrichment opportunities within the DES Summer Academy hosted by the DISD ACE Program. From painting to self defense, cooking, to Lego STEM classes. DES is keeping things classy! We Back the Pack!!!

MHMS is engaging in math with small group instruction in Ms. Rosalie Rodriguez' Math Class during Academic Summer School sponsored by MHMS ACE Program. Students are learning to take ownership of their learning by showing their math strategies. We Back the Pack!!!

**** Small Group Math Instruction **** MHMS is engaging in math with small group instruction in Mrs. Santillano’s Math Class during Academic Summer School sponsored by MHMS ACE Program. They are working on math in collaborative groups. Each student can go to the board and present their math strategy and answer. ***SUMMER IS NOT DRAGON AT ALL AT DHS*** Students at DHS that want to expand their imagination got the chance to join the Mr. Mitchell's Dungeons & Dragons Class offered through the DHS Summer Academy hosted by the DISD ACE Program!!! Students had fun as they got to dress as their characters and trek on their long journey, but watch out for the Dungeon Master's Tactics!!! We Back the Pack!!!

****DHS HAS GOT GAME*** DHS Students had to opportunity to feel like they are at home with a Gaming Class offered at DHS's Summer Academy hosted by the DISD ACE Program. Big Shoutout to REED Gaming from San Antonio for hooking up out students with the gaming equipment! We Back the Pack!!!

****GETTING READY FOR THE CELEBRATION***** DHS is getting ready for the festivities in Mrs. Guzman's Arts & Crafts during the DHS Summer Academy sponsored by the DISD ACE Program. They are preparing pinatas using paper mache and creating very colorful pieces!!! Great Job DISD!!! We Back the Pack!!!

***DHS IS ON THE BLOCK*** DHS had to LEGO all the excitement during the DHS Summer Academy (hosted by the DISD ACE Program) with Mr. Zertuche's Lego Coding Class. Students build custom structures and program them to perform functions using coding software from their Chromebooks. The possibilities are endless here at DHS! We Back the Pack!!!

****DHS LEATHER WORK*** DHS students have been crafting leather roses in Dr. Ziegler's leather work class offered during the DHS Summer Academy hosted by the DISD ACE Program. When it comes to excitement, DHS has nothing to "HIDE" We Back the Pack!!!

****SUMMER ACADEMY IS KICKIN' IN**** Students are given a chance to get physical through the self-defense classes that are offered to student at DHS's summer academy host by the DISD ACE Program.
