On Monday March 29th, the Lady Wolves softball team was able to get their first win in district against Poteet by a score of 5-3. The Lady Wolves then travelled to Cotulla where they lost a tough defensive battle 3-0. Tuesday, April 6th, Dilley hosted the Karnes City Badgers where their offense would lead them to a win with a final score of 12-6. Dilley is currently 2-7 in district play. The Lady Wolves will host Jourdanton this Friday at 6:00pm.
The Wolves track team traveled to Jourdanton for the 27-3A District Track Meet on March 30-31st. The Wolves competed with 9 other districts, and ended up in 4th place (79) with only 11 athletes, just short of 3rd place 10 point (89), and 2nd place 21 points! (100)

Sophomore Esai Lozano: 400m (2nd), 200m dash (2nd), 4x400m relay (2nd)

Senior Cristian Aranda: Long Jump (3rd), High Jump (4th), 100m Hurdles (2nd), 4x400 Relay (2nd)
Senior Jhonathan Trevino: 300m Hurdles (2nd), 4x400 Relay (2nd)
Freshman Anthony Guerra: 3200m run (4th)
Junior Michael Rodriguez 4x400(alternate)
The following athletes competed at the District Meet but didn't qualify for Area but they still deserve recognition for working hard and competing in a tough district:

We are extremely proud of these young men for all the hours of hard work and dedication they put in day in and day out to get to the next level. They have realized what it takes to get to the top and to compete with top tier athletes from the District. With only 11 guys and a 4th place finish in a stacked District speaks volumes of the potential of the track program with the years to come! The Area Track Meet will take place on April 14, 2021 @ Poth, Tx with field events scheduled to start at 11am, the 3200m run 11:30am, and Running Events at 2:30pm.
This week the Dilley Wolves and Lady Wolves traveled to Jourdanton for their District track meet. The Wolves and Lady Wolves started off the week with charisma and excitement ready to tackle the tough district they are in not once did they give up, the wolves fought a tough battle this week. The Wolves ended up 4th in District and The Lady Wolves 6th out of 8 teams. We are extremely proud of our athletes and will continue to make Dilley proud and we will continue with our success for the years to come. Wolf Pride!

Reminder to all Dilley ISD Parents/Guardians:
There will be no school on Friday, April 2nd and Monday, April 5th. For students that have been remote learners, please be sure to bring your Dilley ISD device and water bottle or clear refillable container. School times - Elementary 7:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. (breakfast 7:30-7:45 a.m.), and Middle/High School 7:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. (breakfast 7:45 - 8:00 a.m.).

The DHS Spirit Club / Student Council worked hard this afternoon to provide each student a bag of popcorn and a pickle to spread school spirit, a little joy, and small token of appreciation for coming to school.
MHMS celebrated Paraprofessional Appreciation Day with an enchilada luncheon and a movie gift box. Our campus is truly lucky to have an amazing group who always go above and beyond for not only their students, but their staff as well. Thank you for all you do!
