This past Wednesday, April 3rd, the Wolves Track teams competed in the District 28-3A Track and Field Championships. Dorian Aranda, 10x District Champion in the last 2 years, led the Varsity Boys team to a 3rd place finish behind Hondo and Lytle. Aranda was this year's District Champion in the 100m dash, 200m dash, Triple Jump, Long Jump, and 4x100 meter relay. He also tied the school record of 22-8 1/2' in the long jump that has stood since 1984. Top four finishers in their event advance to the Area Meet held next week in Jourdanton.
On the JV Boys side, Abel Trevino led the JV team to a DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP, Trevino was the District Champion in the Long Jump, Triple Jump, 4x100 relay, and 4x200 relay. Zachary Herrada was additionally the 110H District Champ. Future looks bright for Dilley Track as long as we can keep the kids locked in and ready. We're hoping that this District Championship for them will motivate them for the years to come!
We will be competing in the 2024 District 27-28 3A Area Track & Field Championships on April 10, 2024.

On March 25, 2024, the Dilley ISD Board of Trustees voted in favor of naming Kelli DuBose as the lone finalist for Superintendent.
Mrs. DuBose is completing her 24th year with Dilley ISD.
- "I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve and work alongside our great students, staff, and parents of Dilley ISD."
There is a state-mandated 21-day waiting period before she can sign a contract with the district. The board is expected to offer an official contract once that period is over.
