Mr. Rene Alvarez, Member, serving his 15th year, is retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, retired Part-Time Police Officer for Dilley PD, and currently works as a Pipeline Operator for Ironwood Midstream. “I am proud of the successes we have achieved in the past and remain committed to embracing new challenges with a strong focus on academics. Moving forward, we will continue addressing the nationwide teacher shortage by working to recruit and retain highly effective educators. She now enjoys operating her small business, Juanita’s Party Trays. Over the many years that the people of this district have honored me with the privilege of representing them on the school board, I have learned countless lessons.
