*** 2025 29th Annual Nixon Lions Club Basketball Tournament UPDATE*** Congratulations to our Pups 7th Grade A basketball team on their 3rd place finish at the 2025 29th Annual Nixon Lions Club Basketball Tournament! The Pups lost their first game against Randolph and bounced back with a win against Stockdale to secure a 3rd place finish! Congratulations to the Pups and coaching staff, keep up the good work!! ****WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS**** 7th grade girls A team defeated McMullen County for the McMullen County Basketball Tournament Championship 39-11. The girls went 3-0 for the tournament. Congratulations Lady Pups!!! 8th grade girls A team received a 3rd place finish going 1-2 at the McMullen County Basketball Tournament. Congrats to the 8th grade girls. We Back the Pack!!!

Dilley ISD January Board Meeting Recap We had an exciting and inspiring night celebrating our School Board Appreciation Month! It was an incredible opportunity to recognize the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our Board Members to the success of our students and staff. Speakers from the DISD Student Advisory Committee, Dilley Elementary, MHMS Student Council, and MHMS ACE Program spoke passionately about how the Board’s efforts have positively impacted their education and school experiences. Additionally, we highlighted and celebrated the remarkable achievements of our students: 🎉 The Dilley Elementary UIL team for their hard work and accomplishments in academic competitions. 🎉 The outstanding efforts of our DHS CTE Programs, showcasing innovation and career readiness. 🎉 The DHS All-American Cheerleaders, representing our school with spirit and pride. 🎉 The impressive dedication and talent of the DHS Band, whose performances continue to inspire us all. We are grateful to our School Board for their tireless efforts, vision, and leadership. Mr. Rene Alvarez, Member, serving his 15th year, is retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, retired Part-Time Police Officer for Dilley PD, and currently works as a Pipeline Operator for Ironwood Midstream. “I am proud of the successes we have achieved in the past and remain committed to embracing new challenges with a strong focus on academics. Moving forward, we will continue addressing the nationwide teacher shortage by working to recruit and retain highly effective educators. Additionally, we will continue to update our facilities as needed to ensure a safe, modern, and supportive learning environment for all.”
